Route Sierra Madre
Route Red Sierra Madre is a regenerative tourism project led by Indigenous and rural women in the Sierra Otomí-Tepehua region of Hidalgo, Mexico.
With immersive experiences rooted in culture, nature, and community, women generate more sustainable livelihoods while sharing the traditions, knowledge, languages, gastronomy, textiles, and stories that shape their territories.
Through Route Sierra Madre, tourism becomes a tool for cultural vitality, economic opportunity, and regenerative development.

Approximately three hours northeast of Mexico City, this rural, mountainous region is home to vibrant Indigenous communities whose histories, languages, knowledge systems, and traditions continue to shape community life today.

Every part of the experience felt authentic and meaningful.
