PSYDEH is one of 38 Mexican NGOs across the Republic Chosen for the National Network Promoting the Vote and Citizen Participation
Pursuant to PSYDEH’s multi-year program empowering bottom-up, local problem solving, including recent nationally celebrated work empowering indigenous women to participate in electoral politics, we’ve been chosen as one of 38 Mexican NGOs across the Republic forming the Network to Promote the Vote and Citizen Participation in the 2017-2018 Electoral Process (Red de promoción del voto y de la participación ciudadana en el proceso electoral 2017-2018).
This network is organized and accredited by funder partner Instituto Nacional Electoral through their “Mechanism of coordination and collaboration with civic organizations for the promotion of the vote and of the citizen participation.” It’s mission is to:
- Enhance the dissemination, promotion and training in political-electoral rights and responsibilities of citizens,
- Promote the importance of the electoral process, the political system and the perniciousness of electoral crimes, and
- Stress to citizens the value of participating in the public life of the country beyond the elections, for example in academic, neighborhood or community associations that provide tools for the demand of human rights.
