Graduating from GlobalGiving’s 2018 Social Impact Academy
PSYDEH graduates from GlobalGiving’s (GG) six-week long 2018 Social Impact Academy (the Academy) under Special Coordinator Katie Freund’s leadership.
In the Academy, global experts in social impact use video conferencing and webinars, take-home readings and real-world assignments to help PSYDEH, a superstar in GG’s network with ongoing crowdfunding projects, and 49 other NGOs from around the world. We strengthen our social impact measurement and evaluation tools, learn social change and community engagement theories, and explore how best to share our impact stories.
The Academy has helped PSYDEH to produce positive outcomes. As Katie states, “This was an incredible opportunity to learn about the vast array of tools and resources available to us as a small, forward-thinking organization working to make a sustainable impact. I’m excited for what PSYDEH can do with this information both now and as we scale our work in the future.”
Specific outcomes include:
– Improved clarity on our vision for social impact and how we achieve it.
– 24 new rewards points, helping PSYDEH to continue to gain new opportunities and collaborations with GG like our ongoing Route2Good project.
– Three new SMART goals for PSYDEH and community partners (Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Realistic and Time-Bound) reflecting how we achieve social impact. These are based on the Academy’s insights on the information, resources, and processes available and necessary for determining and improving said impact.
